The release of the powerhouse single ROAR and the subsequent PRISM album, certainly secured Katy Perry’s position as an international superstar. The platinum certification for both the single and album called for a custom award commission that went beyond any we had created before.

The ambitious terrarium concept was pulled from the various natural elements found in the deluxe album packaging. We had the deep triangle frame custom made to match the Prism logo which was laser cut from the background, along with the Katy Perry logo and butterflies, to reveal the “prismatic” reflective foil background beneath. Silk flowers, artificial moss and vines were carefully arranged to grow from the bottom of the frame. We are so proud of this piece and was thrilled to hear that Katy was blown away when she received it.

The national advertising campaign included additional “prism” like layouts. For the french market campaign, the label submitted four publicity photos to choose from, and we decided to use them all. The partnership at with the Lorde campaign also included a light and dark contrast with a non traditional layout, to further create a more visually interesting piece of advertising for the two hottest artists of the moment.
