MORGAN TONEY
Photography by Matthew Ingraham
Moran Toney’s sophomore album is steeped in his east coast indigenous roots. It was essential that we capture that authenticity in the photos and the illustrations throughout the release cycle. The eight pointed star is pulled from an ancient Mi’kmaq quill shield, and the petroglyphs found in Bedford, NS. The iconic Mi’kmaq symbol is encapsulated by decorative elements that includes a feather representing air and a fishing hook for the sea. Many of these elements are carried throughout all release materials.
